The Dropa Collective is proud to release the first official pressing of Caïna's 2013 “audiovisual suicide note” Litanies Of Abjection.

Caïna has been making cinematic and heavily thematic Black Metal since 2004, with 7 albums and multiple singles/EPs. These releases have come through Profound Lore, Broken Limb Recordings and Apocalyptic Witchcraft to name a few. The sound of Caïna has evolved and taken influence from across the extreme music corpus that continues to experiment and push forward into new thematic ideas with every output.

Having been in contact for a number of years, it was about a year ago that ACB and myself started figuring out what we wanted to release via my label. After some back and forth on different potential releases we finally settled on Litanies Of Abjection. The album had originally been released in 2013 digitally but has since disappeared from the Internet having been at one point disowned by ACB as too painful and personal a piece of work to continue to be made public. However, times change and as emotions became less raw we realised this was the one thing that was truly in need of a re-release. One of Caïna’s most eclectic releases, with side A being a heavily Industrial/Electronic and side B being more ambient and post rock in its influence, the vocals taking heavy cues from Scott Walker’s distinctive delivery whilst the largely improvised lyrics detail the total disintegration of ACB's psyche.

When I asked ACB when planning this release what he wanted to say about this album; he wanted to keep it simple so I’ll keep it as this. For me; this is his most interesting and enticing release he’s ever made. It’s a vitally important piece of his discography and I’m excited to have a part in making this album available again in 2019.
